What exactly does a bookkeeper do for my travel agency?

Do you prefer to work remotely, on-site or a combination?
We work exclusively remotely, which allows me to serve clients efficiently and consistently regardless of location. With today’s secure cloud-based tools, remote bookkeeping ensures timely communication, real-time collaboration, and easy access to financials—all without disrupting your day-to-day operations.
What software do you use? Can you work with my current system?
We prefer to work with FreshBooks as much as we can with small businesses. But, we are also certified with QuickBooks Online.
How often will my books be updated?
For most clients, we categorize transactions weekly and reconcile accounts on a monthly basis to ensure you always have current financial information. However, we can accommodate weekly or quarterly schedules depending on your business needs and preferences. We establish a consistent schedule that works for you and stick to it reliably.
Can you help me catch up if I’m behind on my books?
Don’t worry! Many businesses come to us with bookkeeping backlogs. At Becker & Ledger, we specialize in catch-up / clean up bookkeeping to bring your records up to date efficiently and accurately. We’ll develop a structured plan to address the backlog while setting up systems to keep everything on track moving forward. It’s never too late to get organized. To be clear, cleanup or catch-up are separate services from monthly bookkeeping. We often do one or the other before taking over monthly bookkeeping.
What do you need from me each month to do your job?
Just a few things: open communication, access to your bank and credit card statements, loan statements, invoices, and any receipts you’d like us to track. We’ll make it as hands-off as possible and guide you through what we need.
